Elk season last year- After driving 14 hrs from Texas to Colorado and staying up until 1am drinking beers with a buddy, I shot my first archery elk at 8am on morning 1 of our 9 day hunt.

Have hunted them for many years in Texas, free-ranging. Absolutely a blast to spot and stalk during the summer rut. Not quite as tasty as elk but absolutely blow whitetail out of the water as far as flavor. We sell a few hunts each year to help cover some expenses.
