The 90 Accubond should stabilize fine in a 10 twist. When Nosler launched that bullet, the 10 twist 243 was probably the most common 6mm available, so I am thinking they put the bullet at 90 grains to account for that.
The trend on this forum is toward more frangible tipped bullets. That...
I would NOT do that. The Montana X3s had some QC issues and you won't be able to get manufacturer support for it if it has issues. You have to ask yourself why the one you are looking at is available. There's no practical difference between a 270 and a 6.5 Creed in terms of results on game.
I haven't been able to discern any difference in them. I have only taken them to the range to get them sighted in. They adjusted as they are supposed to. Optical quality is great, Eye relief is good. Illumination control is outstanding. They are easy to get behind.
I don't think that the folks who want corner crossing would like the outcome if this went to SCOTUS. Law has consistently held that property owners own the air space above the land that they own. How high up they own it is somewhat subjective, but it is always a substantial distance above any...
They will both take you to last legal shooting time under a canopy on a cloudy evening. So, as you have expressed, it's those other factors. No direct experience with either. I do have 2 Credos and one Tenmile. I can say that every Trijicon that I have ever used or piddled with was easy to...
This is a pretty good read on light transmission and objective lens diameter. https://www.outdoorlife.com/story/hunting/understanding-riflescope-brightness-misconceptions/
I don't really worry about a 50mm objective scope being mounted 5mm higher than a 40. That's less than 1/4 inch. Hold...
The Credo 3-9x40 is a fantastic scope. My only caution is that if you have a rifle with a 90 degree bolt throw, there can be bolt clearance issues. I also have an Optika 5 and can recommend them as well.
To be fair, I have read it and even reread parts of it, but I can't remember all of the details. That's what happens when threads get too big. A person cannot read it and walk away doubting the efficacy of a 223 though.
I have found that recoil calculators can vary widely as can tables that are hosted online. Do you have a calculator or source that you trust more than others?
How does the shape of those wound channels compare in terms of penetration and temporary stretch cavity?
I think it could help satisfy some of the naysayers to demonstrate that the TMK has a larger wound by demonstrating in a side by side gel test. Then simulate hitting bone in a gel test...
