It would be hard to beat a great knife. These knives below were started being made in 1938 by Rudy Ruana. His grandsons still own and run the shop making knives on machinery that Rudy mostly built by hand himself. Great story about it in the book, Hear the Hammer. I find that a 3 1/2" to...
I have never hunted or killed a brown bear. I did shoot my grizzly bear in 2019 with my 280AI and a 140 gr. Nosler Accubond handload. One shot and he was done at 158 yards. The 7mm Remington Mag and the 7 PRC are essentially the same ballistically and I feel that with a good bullet it would...
165 gr. Nosler Accubond or 165 gr. Partition either one would work great. I shoot the 165 gr. Accubond now, same exact load I used for the Partition. It shoots great and performs extremely well.
57.4 grs of IMR4350 - Federal 210 primer - 165 gr. Accubond
Chronographs at 2940 fps in my...
I don't know if this is the case in your situation, but that fuel with ethanol is hell on carbs. If you cannot find fuel without it either run your generator empty before putting it away, or drain the fuel into a gas can and then run it dry. I learned that the hard way.
90 gr. Nosler E-tip. Fantastic bullet.
Here are a 100 gr. Partition, a 90 gr. E-tip and a 90 gr. Accubond shot into water jugs at 400 yards.
E-tip above, Partition, Accubond
Hope you have a fantastic hunt. Enjoy all that it holds as you will have memories forever. Take lots of pictures. Make sure you have a way to charge your cell phone for more pictures.
I hunted with Ovis Outfitters late August 2019. Had a fantastic time and got a 7 1/2" grizzly bear...
160 gr. Nosler Accubonds will kill anything you want to hunt with the 7mm Magnum and typically shoot well in most rifles. I would really suggest giving them a try and see how they shoot. The Accubonds are superb bullets. A single 140 gr. Accubond out of my 280AI killed my 7 1/2' grizzly...
Here's my 2019 Brooks Range grizzly bear. My guide is posing with him. I shot him one time at 158 yards broadside as he was feeding. Tight behind the shoulder crease and through the lungs. Rifle was a 280AI shooting my handload of a 140 gr. Nosler Accubond at 3186 fps at the muzzle. He...
Small day pack with TP, bum wipes, water. I have a Sceery mouth blown rabbit call and a small black mouse bulb squeeker. Ruger 1B 6mm Remington with Harris bi-pod attached, 10x25 Leica Ultravid binoculars, and a sleeping pad or similar waterproof cushion to sit on. Benchmade pocket knife.
Good price, good product those Lansky Sharpeners. Purchase the Lansky Super C-Clamp instead of the base plate that requires you screw the base to a table or bench, something along those lines. The C-Clamp lets you use the sharpening system without having to damage something by attaching the...
Never had Oryx, but love elk meat. Elk or Pronghorn antelope are my favorites. The bear meat I have eaten to include my Arctic Grizzly bear has been excellent though as well.
It will work but it is light for moose as you know. Good stout bullets like a 100 gr. Nosler Partition, 90 gr. E-tip, or 90 gr. Accubond will work.
This picture is of a large cow elk my son killed with one shot at 350 yards with his 6mm Remington. He was shooting 90 gr. E-tip handholds...
Absolutely just do it! It's fun and you can make some great stuff. Fatty cheap Pork shoulder roasts are easy to find and make great mixes for fat. If I have 30 pounds of deer, elk, or antelope I put about 15 pounds of chopped up Pok in for it's fat content. That works great for burger...
Cooper Stronghold is what I would purchase. A new tire from Cooper that looks to be a fantastic tire. My son just put a set on his 2019 Ram 1500. They have been fantastic so far. You really cannot go wrong with Cooper Tires. The AT3 is a wonderful tire as is the ST MAXX.
Here's the new...
I love Cooper tires and have ran the AT3's and now the ST Maxx. Really like both of those models. My son just put new Cooper Stronghold tires on his 2019 Ram 1500 crew cab. Really an impressive tire with a 3 peak Mtn snowflake rating. Only had them on gravel and highway so far but really...
