I’ll use a pelican for my travels with a rifle, regardless of how I’m traveling.
I do not have any foam in my case, I’ll put my foam mat for sleeping in the bottom and pack the rifle case with everything except what I’m carrying on the plane. I’ll even take my pack apart and put it in the...
Sitting works where I hunt, due to the amount of hunters in the area. They will push the elk around quite a bit, so sitting and waiting to see how the elk react has been beneficial for me.
This is first rifle here in SW Colorado a few years ago…..we were packed in around 15 miles, not being able to stay warm or dry off wet clothing would have really made it a miserable trip.
So far I have only used one in 556, chased bears in Idaho (unsuccessfully) and hunted prairie dogs and coyotes here at home. I’d really like to use one for big game here at home, but it is currently frowned upon.
I also have a Hogue stock on my 10/22, but if I were to change it, I’d go with a KRG stock for it. I really like the one that is on my Ruger Ranch Rifle.
This may or may not help, but I just put my Gen1 Ruger Ranch in a KRG Bravo and I haven't had any issues with AICS mags. I bought two Ruger AICS mags.
I also don't reload, but haven't had any issues with any of the factory ammo I've used.

I have also looked at a SO Courthouse for this very reason.
I don’t backpack hunt much anymore as its just as easy to go home every night, but I still use a hammock for the majority of the year, at least until there is a substantial amount of snow on the ground. At that point I switch to a tipi. I really don’t like traditional tipis, the round ones...

I really like my iPad, I was nothing but frustrated with my laptop. It always needed to update or it would take forever to work. I like being able to sync my iPad and phone across various apps.
I also have an EE Convert with the apex insulation. I haven’t had any issues with it so far. If I had the ability to sew one, i definitely give it a go.
I have a Ruger MKIV 22/45 with a Silencerco Spectre II. I put it in an Uncle Mikes cordura large frame revolver holster and hang it off my left side of my bino harness. It is set up like a cross draw. So far its worked out pretty well for me.
