I’ve looked thought NLs and owned a pair of ELs and Victory SFs. Alpha glass is the best but they also hold their value pretty well. It’s easy to sell them off in the off season.
I am upgrading my driver (golf) this year, but I also want to get a high value set of binos. I’ve owned alpha and near alpha binos and I find near alphas offer a lot for their price.
The Tract Torics seem to be one of the best performance to value bins on the market. Who runs the 8x42s and/or...
I’m going to be odd man out and say yes, ED, UHD, HD does mean something to me. It tells me the optic likely uses extra low dispersion glass. ED glass does a better job correcting CA than standard glass.
If an optic is marketed as “UHD”, I would like to see a blurb on what it means similar to...
I would have never thought someone would take saying a barrel has a “personality” literally. You sound vaxxed and triple boosted. You’re avatar is kinda gay too.
Skinny barrels get hot quicker. If I want to shoot a group of 10-15 shots, I let the barrel cool 3 minutes between shots. I actually set a timer on my Apple Watch. I’m looking for 1-3 shot accuracy with a skinny barrel hunting rifle.
I’m going to disagree. It’s not uncommon for skinny, pencil like barrels to open up when hot. I’ve seen it across multiple sporter barrel rifles I own that are all shooters for short strings.
I have the 22”’ Sporter version. Great little rifle that can shoot sub MOA in 5 shot groups to a little over MOA with 15 shot groups.
Every barrel has a personality but mine doesn’t like to get too hot. It’s a hunting rifle so accurate 2-3 shot strings is fine. Groups open up with 5 + shot...
100%. 6 ARC is an excellent cartridge. Here’s a 3 shot group at 600 yards with 108 ELDM handloads. 1800 FPS at 600 yards in such a light kicker with excellent barrel life (4000 + rounds) is a win in my book.
