The issue is these sorts of threads are usually started by people who want to see reform in states they are not residents of. In that case, the folks who make the decisions don’t work for them and rightly should care little how they feel.
One thing to think about is, if you are just changing out cabling, I wouldn’t touch the rest until after shooting field points. Setting the rest position is a good step when first setting up/tuning a new bow, but IMO adds unnecessary complexity in your situation. Rather, I would use the old rest...
Are you perhaps confusing the loss of range (which means that your bow’s speed would have slowed so the distance between marks would have increased) with a change in where your arrows hit at various distances per your sight tape?
Sounds to me like your before/after measurements are a little...
I largely agree with this. There is value as a newbie in trying different things to optimize and to learn how changes in equipment changes arrow flight etc., but past I point I really do think tinkering becomes detrimental to success.
Some guys are more about the process than the result in this...
There is a massive distance on the continuum between business as usual and “cancelling”. I think it is a good practice to vote with your pocketbook and that manufacturers deserve the feedback as to why you may or will not buy their products in the future.
Likewise, I believe that if a company’s...
It depends. I use an EZ fletch and I think removing/replacing a wrap and refletching an arrow takes about 5 minutes start to finish, with most of that time being pulling out the jig/vanes/wrap/glue and putting it away afterwards. It definitely adds some expense with the new wrap and new vanes...
We have a quote on a white board in our kitchen, “control of your time is the highest dividend money pays.”
I have a sense that, 20 years down the road, you will laugh to yourself that you considered not pursing the management role.
Good luck!
The rest was 5-6 years old and stopped dropping consistently when shot. Never happened in practice, just when a $30K bull that may have been the new P&Y record was standing in front of him.
IMO the lock up feature adds unnecessary complexity to the rest.
