Which model nerf gun fires a potentially lethal projectile?
If I was at a public range and some random person behind me initiated the sequence required to shoot by nocking an arrow, I would most definitely pay close attention to make sure they weren’t going to draw. That seems like an innocent...
This sounds like a classic case of “there are three sides to every story” with a bit of blame on both parties. Sounds like the young guy massively over-reacted, but what was the point of your friend having an arrow knocked? That shouldn’t have happened.
He specifically stated they were living in a converted school bus during the time.
Even if a person does not pursue residency in another state, some state/provincial residency requirements for hunting purposes state that you have to have been in the state/province for 6 or more months during...
I think guys are combining concepts and not getting to the right conclusion. Bows will usually shoot better at max poundage for the reason Zac stated. There are reasons that peak let-off levels (%) haven’t increased much in over a decade - less holding weigh makes it easier to adversely affect...
Having a higher or lower wrist grip can affect how a bow reacts as well. That is the difference between my friend and me. When he shoots my bows he hits low, not left or right which would be indicative of torque.
I don’t disagree with that sentiment, but it is not only that people have waited longer. It is also that they have financially supported the DFG and by extension wildlife for longer. To me that is a more compelling argument.
if residents were so concerned about point creep, don’t you think they would be petitioning to make those changes? But they aren’t. Luckily they have NR’s - operating purely from a position of altruism - who are willing to take up the cause on their behalf.
Trying to get residents to push for a...
You started a thread with the basic premise of “politicians in other states should reform their point systems in a way that undermines their constituents but benefits me” and asked for other poster’s thoughts on the matter.
States by and large have thoughtfully structured their NR tag...
That is exactly the clip that comes to mind every time a read a thread like this.
Want reform? The first step is moving to and establishing residency in the state whose point system you want reformed. Full stop.
Absent a willingness to do that, quit complaining.
The only potential issue other than cost and not learning anything is that tuning incorporates the shooter in terms of grip, form, etc. I know some guys who would ship off bows for tuning, get them back, and be totally dialed. On the other hand I have a friend (who is a much more accomplished...
It would be really interesting to have someone assemble a dozen arrows with FBBH’s with no consideration to nock tuning, shoot them, and measure the group size. Then nock tune and repeat, and determine the % decrease in group size.
That isn’t true, you are probably thinking of Venmo.
A non-profit I am associate with uses Square, moved there from PayPal partially for the reason stated above.
I am going to make the contrarian and undoubtedly unpopular decision of waiting to learn whether this actually happened before deciding if I should be upset.
