Demand can definitely affect supply.
The state of Wyoming increased prices of their special tags to try to slow demand.
You tried to buy a landowner tag anywhere lately? Demand has absolutely increased the price.

Demand was pretty static until #witnessme entered the chat.
Supply hasn’t increased in that amount of time. Winter kill has decreased supply.
The only thing growing is "the industry".

Do tell, I’d love to come help thin the deer on the endlessly unhunted public dirt. I bet the op would too. He doesn’t have any tags.

Stop following the worst perpetrators.
Stop consuming the content that’s designed to increase demand.
Get involved in your own state’s game and fish agencies public process and decry R3 initiatives.
Donate money to organizations that don’t promote R3.
Tell your friends.

That’s the route of the issue at hand though.
Demand has outpaced, and is continuing to outpace, supply. The incessant need of profiteers to promote hunting to grow their customer base is further perpetuating the increase in demand.
I don’t see how that’s difficult for anyone to see.

Uh. . . point creep, anyone?
That’s why people aren’t drawing tags. Demand is outpacing supply. What’s increasing demand?

In the context of his statement “Maybe people will start to realize why they aren’t drawing tags.”
And the basis of this thread, adult onset hunter not drawing tags. . .
I agree with him.

I think cnelk was implying that anyone talking about hunting on a podcast, specifically western big game hunting, isn’t doing anything but further perpetuating the decline of draw odds.

No way they’re warm enough for those temps. You’re into whitetail specific cold weather gear at those temps. Also, I can’t even begin to imagine how loud the DH pants would be at those cold temps.

Argali bags have done well by me and the guys I hunt with. We’ve got a few black Ovis bags in the mix too that are great. Each guy with an elk tag typically carries the argali MOB set + 1 xl black ovis bag.

They’re full of ****.
I’ve hunted with some of the finest hounds in this country in some of the best places you can still run them for whitetails. It’s not easier, it’s not shooting fish in the barrel. It’s harder to kill any deer that is high alert and knows it’s being pursued than sitting in...
You’ve clearly never hunted whitetails with dogs. If it was that easy I know plenty of rednecks that would have happily eradicated deer from the Deep South. I used to be one of them.

I push big mechs through the T of whitetails scapulas every year with blazers on the back of my arrows. My arrows aren’t crazy heavy or crazy fast, 480 grains moving 285 fps. My bow is tuned to absolute perfection. I can keep fixed heads with field points out to about 80 before they start fall...
Cameras are so hit or miss.
I’ve hunted one specific buck for 3 years. Haven’t gotten a single daylight picture of him. I saw him in the daylight 3 separate times last year.
I have traditionally hung cameras in areas that are low impact, easy to access without disturbing deer. The greatest...
Seems those that use cell cameras are adamant they’re not crossing any ethical line and those that don’t are certain those that do are in-fact crossing the line.
I’ve given some of my buddies a ton of grief about cell cameras over the years. I’ve hunted with traditional cameras for a long...
You could get an exo or a stone glacier, triple your volume while cutting the pack weight in half.
A tarp is lighter than rain gear, and it can
get you out of the sun too. Further, I just don't see the need in rain pants on a September day hunt. Wear your gaiters if wx calls for it.
You...
Sounds like it’s not in spec. Probably going to have to add some twists to the cables.
Measure the axle to axle and compare to factory spec.

The exo k4 frames, bags, and accessories are much better executed than anything stone glacier. I’ve put both through substantial paces and multiple hunting seasons.
Frame:
The foam wings on the hipbelt hug your iliac crest must better than the SG. The material that exo lines the portions of...
