Anyone ever flew with their frame pack as their "personal item"?

Airlines are 50:50 at best for me on checked baggage actually arriving w me over the last 2 years.

I use a Kifaru carrier on the EXO pack. The universal upper is a strap pull (can be bought separate), works well for me. I wish the straps were bright orange, accidentally pulled it and “drop tested” my rifle while hunting this year.

Montana Rifle Co, Shoot2Hunt, and Rokslide Rifle

Apologies if already asked. Bolt, I’m guessing will be similar to the UM short, that was the what stuck out as a dislike on the test rifle (Touron and crab grip made it a non issue). Confidence the house made barrel will be properly “relieved” (if that the proper term?) ?I’m sure those...

    Bino Harness Recommendation

Stone Glacier is my favorite out of it/Kuiu/Marsupial. The Marsupial carries nice, but those magnets will screw with phone nav big time.

    Bad day in the field

It’s how I found Rokslide, beating my self up for a bad outcome. Poor shooting/poor rifle setup/poor bullet choice. Still bothers me 4 years later, you already know what to do better next time.

Missed Form’s comment you highlighted. My comment was you tongue in cheek, but if I order and rifle, get sent a 10 shot proof to say yeah or neigh too prior to shipping, that is a huge step forward in the industry. Fanciest rifle I’ve owned is a rebarreled Tikka, have never dipped into...

    Rokslide Member Arizona Shooting Days

Let me know on dates. I’d be more than happy to shoot 300 rounds and learn some new stuff. I’ve been looking for some bigger canyons to play in locally, public land is easy enough, would be nice to find some private. Adding targets to the “course” I set up here, can bring some along if I can...

    Do you hunt from home?

I’m fortunate to have acreage I can shoot and hunt on right out the back door for deer and prairie dogs. Elk spots are an 1-1.5hrs away for my preferred spots. Bigger issue for me during elk season would be getting tied up in household needs/guilt trips about going back out. It’s easier to...

I dropped my 7PRC in it to try out. Decided I need more weight in a rifle to enjoy shooting even a suppressed Magnum, really I don’t need a magnum. Not a knock on the stock, def an improvement, but a couple extra lbs really tames it down.
