I wish one day I could have the same dgaf attitude as the OP. Jealousy aside I hope the hunts are the adventure you hope they will be.
I made mine out of 2x4 studs with EPS foam insulation in between and another layer on the outside. Insulated the walls roof and floor. If you are handy you can buy a controller off of Amazon and wire it in to your air-conditioning yourself, saving nearly all the cost of a cool bot. All you need...
Let's say you have a tag in the Rocky Mountain portions of Montana/Idaho/Wyoming that only allows you to hunt mule deer for 5 days. The catch is, you get to pick any 5 consecutive days between October 10 and December 1 to hunt.
What days are you picking, and why?
Since there is low...
That poor guy. Didnt talk to his wife in a little over a day and she posts exact coordinates to where he was, where he camps AND 3 pins he sent her where he saw elk. To top it all off she called search and rescue. Showed the post to my wife as example 1 of exactly what not to do.
Way cool. Reading thorough this I can't help but think that you and your boys had an incredible year and put in a lot of work. What may not be obvious is that those boys don't have a year like that without a lifetime of following you around the woods, more than likely making your hunting trips...
+1 more for ShotIQ
I wouldn't say my panic was as bad as you describe but I can vividly remember shooting at an elk a few years back and right after I drew my only thought was 'I have to get this arrow out of the bow NOW'. Rattlesnake punched that trigger and made a poor shot. This year was...
I fall into the same trap. In reality you need a ton of data points to either confirm or condemn a broadhead. A single kill is as statistically insignificant as you can get. That being said...I am a believer in Iron Wills. I have killed elk, WT and mule deer, pronghorn and bear with:
Muzzy 3...
All these he-men bragging about killing a lion with a giant shovel amazes me.
Everyone knows all you need is a 77 gr TMK lashed to the end of a 1/4" willow branch to successfully (and ethically) kill a lion with one whack, no follow up whack will ever be needed.
I just went to their website and they still allow me to add a knife to the cart that by all accounts, they do not plan to deliver. Add on top of that the only way to get your money back on the undelivered product is to PM someone on Rokslide, to then get private information? I am not one who got...
Stir the pot? So anyone who sees this thread will get their money back (if they follow your explicit instructions) but as we have learned this if far more wide reaching than the few who read this. I guess they just are out of luck?
I used this stuff last year, just injected into the antler until the outflow was no longer blood-colored. Then used a brush to apply a coat to the outside and the velvet looks great still. I read a couple bad reviews on Velvalok that scared me away but now I seem to read a lot more positive...
Backpacking in 20 miles doesn't sound and depending on terrain/trail system might not really that bad.
However, I don't care what the terrain looks like a 20 mile one way trip to pack out an elk would be absolutely horrible. If you are alone that makes it horrible multiplied by 4 or 5...
I fully agree with you, but watch out people on this forum will be very upset that you expect someone to be held accountable for their actions. They liken it to cancel culture and are appalled that people out there expect ALL outdoorsmen to follow the game regulations. There is a weird...
Sheesh it seems as if this has happened to more than just the OP, and has been going on for months now. Some guy with the handle muleyfreak_erik says its 🔥 though so we must trust that all is good and knives should still be ordered.
I have 28.5", 75lbs, 550 grain arrow and have used the Sevr on a whitetail (marginal penetration maybe like 5", but hit the front side leg just below the shoulder blade knuckle, got the the heart and the buck died in 40 yards) and a mule deer (full pass through mid lung, and only hit one rib). I...
I have to imagine companies that work with MF in a capacity like this would like to keep it quiet for obvious reasons. I am happy this post made us aware.
I was one of those people, can confirm they completely ignored two emails asking for clarity. I do my shopping elsewhere now. GoHunt immediately dropped MF from their store after the (most recent) incident.
So where is the best place to buy? Price, service, speed is probably the order that I am most concerned with as I won't be hunting with it this fall anyway.
