Ok question about this clicker from people who have used it- is this going to be beneficial for someone who is new and doesn't have a coach? I am learning eveything i can from online resources. Will this product still help on that expansion through the shot or do you think i would end up chasing...
It was a good episode, I'm thinking i want to try out the clicker now, i wasn't into it at first because i don't like the idea of a "psychotrigger" but when they were talking about using it to ensure tension is being increased that appealed to me, i need to do some more research i guess
went out today and practiced canting some without changing much of the rest of my form, got the shots more in the middle, inconsistent, but in the middle. Glad I got that figured out, I am going to keep practicing more getting my regular form totally dialed then will circle back to canting as i...
Super helpful thread. If I don't have an arrow saw whats the best plan? I want to increase my TAW by getting more point weight but don't have a saw to work on my own. Do i trust the spine that of say black eagle?
I posted in another thread that canting lends me to missing to the right (Im a right handed shooter). For you canters; do you adjust your aim to compensate for the cant or is there something I am doing wrong while canting that causes the right miss? I would like to be able to cant the bow for...
Wanted to update this as well, In addition to keeping my front shoulder in the right position a HUGE part of it was from me canting the bow. I've been working on the Tom Clum open stance which had me rounding my back and adding a cant to my shot. Once I straightened up I was drilling shots...
Take eveything i say with a grain of salt as I'm only so experienced... i think spine reigns over eveything else. So in other words before TAW or FOC a properly. Spined arrow will fly and impact better. I would think the 400s would be better than 500, but still a little weak for your set up? I...
Im a teacher (with particular views on public education- although since that is my employer I'll stay relatively quiet) but make sure you spend some time specifically taking about taking personal responsibility. As I've read through the thread a lot of the things being taught will have that...
I think ny front shoulder collapsing is a big part of it. It's much more difficult to keep it in place than with a compound so even though i set it in the right spot it wants to creep up. Here are my best 2 2 shot groups of the afternoon, probably shot 40ish arrows total somewhere between 18...
Had about 4 in of rain overnight so I skipped the hunt this morning, think Ill get out a few more days this week though- hopefully I can borrow a buddies decoy and get em closer
Ive been wanting to do this in va. We have plenty of mountains to get deep in but i don't expect to have much deer action. Im a archery only guy too so that makes it all the more challenging. Ive seen guys get it done with rifles, not so much with archery tackle. I really wanna do it as an out...
OK Im still very new to trad. I'm shooting a 45lb @28 ( I thjnk pulling right around 28) rh OMP smoky mountain hunter 500 beman centershot with regular inserts and 100 grain tips. I've been pretty militant in shooting with proper form and making sure im making good shots. I Shot compound...
Well no luck today, I really think I just need some decoys. Running around on public sure is fun though. I am an awful caller but still got some responses and saw some birds, they just wouldnt ever break the 60ish yard mark- think a decoy would fix that?
Seems that way, started to see that with a turkey already! Thankfully I didnt have that "I wish I had my compound moment" I was just super jacked watching the bird work its way in...then away
