    I too have a curved back and the Kifaru composite stays fit me perfectly. Or (assuming you're even interested in a Kifaru) you could always order their aluminum stays and bed them into whatever shape fits your particular profile.

    If you're not married to the idea of a 2-3 day bag check out the 14'r. It's pretty versatile and depending on how much gear you like to take the addition of a grab it and a couple of pouches can get you farther than you might think.

    Have to agree that the Mountain Warrior is a great pack for your purpose but also agree with WV Mountaineer that almost all of Kifaru's bigger packs have an amazing ability to cinch down to daypack size. Hard to go wrong with all but the largest of their offerings.
