You came onto this thread to talk about 2A because I replied to you talking about 2A on this thread? That's magic.
I see your signature says Native Texan. Do you share Ted Cruz's view that "In Texas, only 2% of land is public and we think that's 2% too much"?
Same situation here in Colorado. They've recently removed it, but the Colorado State Land Board website used to have an FAQ section, and in it, responding to a question about whether trust lands were publicly accessible, it said:
"Because these lands are held in trust, they are virtually private".
Well, Shrek thinks we should roll over and embrace the States attempt to placate us hunters when they takeover Federal land. I guess he thinks if we're nice to them, we'll get some scraps. Check the Wyoming thread. At least there he gave some actual opinions instead of insults.

Insult all you want. I just pointed out how I've been hearing for decades now about how the Democrats are coming any minute to take all my guns, but here they are. Instead, Republicans are coming to steal my public lands, so I guess I'll have less use for them.

If Public Land Transfer is going to get shoved down our throat by a Republican administration against the stated will of the people, why should we support toothless State Constitutional amendments that are proposed by the very same people, who are being pushed to do it in the first place by the...
I guess it's better than nothing, but I don't see anything binding that would keep them from disposing acquired Federal land as they saw fit. It reads to me like a "good intentions" bill for soothing sportsmen's concerns, but again, I'm not a lawyer.
I do know that Wyoming currently has 17%...
I am not a lawyer, but my reading of it is that Section A is basically window dressing for Section B.
Section A states that starting in 2019, any land granted to Wyoming by the Federal Government should be managed for multiple uses, including hunting and public access, so we're all supposed to...
The bill itself is here: http://legisweb.state.wy.us/InterimCommittee/2016/SFR-1109APPENDIXH.PDF
Here's a recent article from the Trib about it: Lawmakers advance public lands constitutional amendment despite widespread opposition | Wyoming Politics | trib.com

Not exactly what you asked for, but I know that for NW Colorado anyways in the unit I hunt, the imagery that loads up in Google Earth is actually from early September 2014 (it should say the date on the lower right). So early archery season anyways.
So from that I've been able to spot quite a...
You nailed it. So much of day-to-day life nowadays is being bombarded with stimuli that when you're out in the wilderness, especially on your own, your brain gets deprived of things to chew on. And if you're not careful and deliberate with your thoughts and attitude, it starts chewing on itself.
Usually I'd agree, but I think we were snakebit by sheep herding. There was a sign posted at one of the major trailheads (which I didn't see until I was on my way out) in the area about how there are sheep operation through there June 1st through Sept 20, which was 2 days before we arrived. We...
First, I want to thank everybody who responded to this thread. I didn't get a chance to read all the replies while I was out there, but the ones I did definitely helped lift my morale and get me re-focused. I've always felt like smartphones and wilderness shouldn't really go together, but when...
Sitting on a ridge at 11,000 ft. Partner bailed this morning due to exhaustion (mental and physical), leaving me to press on solo. It took 30 miles of intense deadfall treebashing over the past 2 days to find them, but found the drainage with the bugling bulls, and called one in to about 25...
For what it's worth and just as reference in case anyone is wondering about where things might be in the queue, I emailed customer service yesterday and Frank responded within about 10 minutes. I put my order in on July 20th, original estimated ship date was 8/18, they said they're hoping to get...
I bought a large WiFi for my 8 man, I think you'll be really happy with it. I fired it up a couple months ago when it was about 48 and raining heavily outside, and with a moderate burn going, the temp at the top of the tipi was reading around 90 degrees.
