I can't complain about Oklahoma elk hunt. I drew with 8 points. I talked to people on the hunt that drew with much less then that. I think giving the old timers a better shot is a good move. It does really suck that it's once in a lifetime, but I get it.
I had a blast on the walk in.. It is...
It's sad, but this is totally true. You can get a feel for how a company will treat you if you put in notice if you've been there a while and you have to do your homework beforehand.
I had always tried to give as much notice as I could and do the right thing.. It has blown up in my face before...
I think some guys just like to go against the grain and hate anything new... 6.5 creedmoor, flat bills, CrossFit. Everyone has to bend their bill, shoot the same caliber, workout like a 90's football player...Me personally I hate the shorty shorts all the dudes are wearing these days, that's the...
The worst and best states list doesn't surprise me. The conservative states, like OK where I live, you can permit less carry and it's pretty lax. The liberal states make it very hard. Much like the political climate in the country, there is a large divide between the two.
We were at a minor league baseball game here in OKC the other day, work has a suite, a buddy went down to the bar to grab a couple margaritas for him and his wife...$20 apiece! I stuck to the free Coors lights in the suite

If you read my post, I said he did more then anyone for conservation. His safari hunt was 1909-1911, after he was done being president. You should read the books a little I listed, it's a good read.
Man, not to be a contrarian, but Teddy Roosevelt killed a lot of stuff. I read "Theodore Rex" and "The rise of Theodore Roosevelt" both by Edmund Morris. Some of Teddy's hunts were pretty crazy. He had a lot of guided hunts. He killed hundreds of birds for cataloging in his private collection...
I've tried to get a few of my friends into western hunting so I could groom a hunting partner. Two of them dropped off when covid hit and money got a little tight. The other one has done a little hunting. I took him on a backpack bear hunt and he was not digging hiking in 8 miles while gaining...
Yeah I remember when Huntin Fool and Eastman's where the way to go to easily look up odds. You can see it all across the west though. Even in units that weren't touted as the latest sleeper unit. There are units in New Mexico where you had a decent shot that are a longshot now. Same with Wyoming...
I have a SAS Reaper titanium 9" 7.62 suppressor, it uses the thread over muzzle break. I've ran it on a 26" 300WM, 24" 6.5CM, 16.5" 300 blackout, a 8.5" 300 blackout and a 16.5" 5.56. I might run it on my 22" 7 PRC when I get it done as well. I like the thread over muzzle break setup but it is...
