Just Curious... how'd you like your NOMAD?

I have really like mine so far, only used it for day pack. I don't use a lid on it so I pack anything I need to get to at the top of the wing pockets and could usually get it in and out with out having to mess with the straps. I bought to use as a day/overnight pack that was capable of...

Sitka Bino Bivy and 10x42 EL Range...Modify?

I left the top elastic in and use the bungee cord that was in there, I just use a "s" clip to connect the two, so it's easy to take them off if need be.

I did that exact thing with my Sitka bino bivy. I cut all the mesh out and had forgot it was even there to begin with. If the pack is completely unzipped and you bend over the binoculars can fall out but I leave mine zipped about a 1/3 of the way and haven't had any problems that way. My binos...
