    My rig is a 2012 Hoyt Rampage XT, Montana Black Gold Ascent Sight, Ultra Rest HD. It's accurate, fast enough and I just killed a cow elk with it two weeks ago. Should be under $500 for all of that if you shop right.

    My current setup is Kuiu Vias Pants, Reeltree Max-5 Merino Jacket and various solids. I've archery killed whitetail from a treestand, elk from the ground, turkey etc. Be still, play the wind buy whatever feels right and is on sale.

    This. I've found that the .270 Win shoots 130-140gr best and the Accubond is the best performing factory ammunition I've used (Browning A-bolt). I'd not hesitate to shoot any elk out to 350-400 yards with it.

    Well, much to my surprise, I was drawn for a Kentucky Cow Elk Archery tag! Dates are October 13, 2018- December 7, 2018 December 22, 2018 – December 31, 2018. There is a lot of info available on hunting Bulls but what advice do y’all have on targeting cows specifically? Thanks in advance!

    Yes! I found a breeder though a KY hunting forum. It is a GSP, he was just born a few days ago, and we will pick him up on the first of June! The breeder also trains bird dogs. He offers free training for owner and dog from those who purchase his dogs so that is a big bonus.
