Tape a barrel to keep out moisture?

I use duct tape, never had an issue with it and it’s something I always have extra of when I’m deep in the woods. I just tear off a small patch, I usually keep some extra wrapped around my Nalgene bottle for emergencies such as this.

the cots don't last long on iron sights.

oh yea duct tape and baling wire. standards, ya know. I do prefer 3 m electrical but ya use what ya got sometimes.

That pic with the 44 is from caribou camp this year. That’s one of those titanium cylinder and alloy frame 44 mags and I had been practicing at the range with my new Kenai holster before the trip and I believe the concussion snapped the screw holding the grips. The grips fell off as we were setting up camp and that was definitely an oh shit moment.

Electrical tape works great! Have switched to a Rapid rifle cover though. Protects end of barrel and scope.
