WRO,
I agree with shrek.
re barrel to a 6.5-06, think that will meet your needs quite well and be very happy with it.
a 280 could be an option as well
I only mentioned the .264 WM because you asked about it.
I will chime in, I own a Winchester M70 weather extreme in a .264 WM. It is an excellent round, I am still load developing (fairly new to reloading still) but even with the starting loads I have put together I am clover leafing.
I can't tell you velocity my rifle is reaching I do not own a...
I do not have the reloading experience that you and others have on this forum, but at the risk of sounding foolish I will though out a suggestion.
It seems to me that you are reaching max pressure or close too it with room to spare in the cartridge case. Taking a step back and not talking of...

Thanks guys I will look into the Montana rifle Co. and Kimber options
I am going to keep my eye out for a Model 70 that I can get chambered for the .257 (if the price is right)
So just recently my lovely wife has been talking about coming hunting with me. This won't be hardcore mountain hunting and this point just upland and deer hunting, but any quality time my wife and I can spend together is certainly welcome, plus it gets here involved with my interests. This has...
Thanks for the suggestion guys, -
The Elite's seem to be a favorite this year.
The biggest reason for me wanting to upgrade my bow is simply a smoother draw cycle, noise and vibration. The newer bows are so much quieter, easier to pull, and of the few I have shot dead in the hand. While I...
