All of the powder that's going to burn in a barrel, burns within the first few inches. The fastest load in a long barrel will also be the fastest load in short barrel.
Need to make sure I understand this clearly.... Are you saying they won't do an M5 inlet at all? Their site says they will. I was just getting ready to order 3 with M5 inlets so this will throw a wrench in that plan.
I used that same data to extrapolate for the bergers, but not all 180's are created equal. The ELDM has a lot more bearing surface generates higher pressure with equal charges. There is data for some other cartridges with both bullets and the Berger routinely has a higher max charge.
I'm sending a couple of actions back to Defiance to have new magnum bolts fitted, and I need a smith to pull the tubes before I ship them out (Defiance asking for this). When they come back I need one of the barrels spun back on (using the old bolt of course).
Any recs for a smith in the Twin...
I don't know about the Harvester but I have 4 TBAC Dominus and can assure you the recoil reduction is substantial. Your '06 will probably feel somewhere around 243 or at most 6.5cm recoil level.
I have a little collection of Dominus cans that I run on barrels as long as 21". I use low rings and can't see the can in my scope even at 3x. I see no reason to get a shorter can as the Dominus CB adds less than 6" to the overall length. The sound suppression and recoil reduction are amazing. I...
Gila you're only considering saami coal, but you're not taking the case length into account. For 7 PRC with a long, heavy high BC bullet seated way out you will only be at 3.33. You're not going to be anywhere near 3.5.
Congrats. I put 4 cans in jail last October and it's killing me watching you guys lap me. Hopefully eforms allows them to get the paper submissions cleared out a little faster.
I agree on the can. Check out the March Reddit NFA megathread. Most form 4's on the eform system are actually less than 90 days. What exactly is your budget on this workaround and how long will it take you?
It's not a terrible idea, but my AMR compresses so nicely as a daypack I'm not sure why I would ever take it off. Plus it goes from daypack to meat hauler with just a few tugs on the straps.
