Any chance you got a picture of this bad boy with a barreled action tightened in it? With recoil lug seated correctly of course (ha) I’m curious about barrel to spigot clearance…as you may have just helped me spend more of my $$$ as you’ve given me an idea for my next RokStok and I’d like to go...
You are not alone, but mines an LE Green CTR inlet so I figured it might be at the end of the line in each process along the way. You’ll get yours before mine I’d bet!
Edit: If I get mine first tho…. I’ll be sure to let ya know (ha!)
I like splitting the difference and use their Contact Us page on their website. That way they can respond when they get a minute and I’m getting my curiosity itched scratched without feeling quite as bad about bugging them.
I think people were dissuaded from calling (right or wrong) when Jake...
That’s nice bedding work there! Having done several M77’s myself, they can be tricky to bed without accidentally ending up with the rear tang lifting ever so slightly up off the bedding when the front screw is torqued
Rumor has it, if you call and ask nicely, Morris at Alaska Arms LLC can set you up with a M77 Mkii or Hawkeye floor plate (long action only) that holds 6 or 7 down for standard bolt face cartridges and 5 down for magnums.
10818 is the code. I found this deep in the bowels of the Limbsaver website, measurements should help you figure out if it will fit Tikka stock too but prob have to scale to check the hole spacing and size.
I used this to make my own spacers a few months ago, worked out good size wise on...
Perhaps that’s ’what’s coming next that’s even better’?
I hate that I’m playing into the ‘mystery hype’ by speculating but I’ll be damned if I’m not curious… and you know the old saying, “curiosity preordered 3 RokStoks” haha
That setup looks very fun and quiet (as quiet as a super sonic 6mm thru a 30 cal hole can be anyway). Curious is that an 18” barrel? (Looks like a 5” reflex?). How’s the balance with RokStok?
Have you got to play around with testing zero retention on that WTO system? I’m guessing zero retention when swapping the same barrel on/off/back on again doesn’t happen, but more thinking about it from a light drop testing perspective. I’ve never really looked into them seriously but the...
A picture of the forend with the first ever QD ‘spartarcapic’ rail… or… a smooth and rounded forend with nitride QD cups, but instead of ebony the forend tip is LE green carbon (haha)
I'm just here for the LE Green stock pictures we were promised @roosiebull  ha! And also looking forward to Jake's next 'State of the UMion' Address/update.
