Shot the triax along with several other bows on 2 seperate occasions now. Right now it's a toss up between the triax and elite ritual. Gonna be a tough choice for sure! 29dl 70# on all bows.
I think we somehow said mostly the same thing... If you train right with lighter boots then you don't need the heavy boots... You can wear the most cushioned, ankle supportive boots out there but you will still be trashing your knees, back and dang near everything else if you don't train with...
I'm trying out the quest 4d's now... These are as much boot as I can stand to wear but they are getting more comfortable every day... I tried on the Lowa tibets, Zamberlan 960 gtx and several other pairs of burly hiking boots and to be honest they make my ankles feel like rolling... I run and...
Anyone on here have any experience with the Mamba Air TF? I shot it in PA at the outdoor show earlier this month but that's not enough to convince me to drop the money.
I agree with Excaliburs post earlier that there are lighter options out there... I've been wearing my Mountain Hardwear ghost whisperer hooded puffy for the past 2 years chasing elk... It's so light I can't tell I'm packing it and somehow it's tougher than I figured it would be but I would be...
I think steri pens are a great resource if you are drinking decent water... We literally had to pre filter then filter water out of a wallow last year and I don't know that I would've been happy just sterilizing it with UV... every possible water source on the map was non-existent... I will...
I just ordered the kifaru hunter frame with the Nomad pack, grab it and guide lid... I also bought the spotting scope pocket to hang on the frame between the wings for my bladder or whatever else... I will use whatever size dry bag I need to carry my complete camp setup in.
I really like...
Selling my brand new zamberlan boots. Tried them on and they are just not for me.
--Price drop to $250.00 TYD--
The last day I can ship these is 30 Jan then it's off to work for a couple weeks.
I had to get a copy of my Ohio hunters safety card and carry it with me to hunt in Colorado... Unless you meet the age requirements it is mandatory... As stated above if you buy your license from an actual CPW office they will update your info in the system and the following year you don't...
I always carry my filtration system, 3L bladder and 2 of the 1 liter platypus roll up water containers with me and fill up as needed throughout the day... If near water during the end of the day I will fill up the extra 2 liters of water before heading back to camp... Last year we actually...
I have both the Exo 3500 and 5500... Overall I like the packs and will most likely continue to use them...I will list some pros and cons and I realize that some of the cons are due to my personal preference.
Pros:
-- Full length side pockets and front stretch pocket.
-- Packs compress down...
