Welcome to Rokslide
Prepare for arrogant responses from the usuall cadre whenever you ask a question..
Also be prepared to be constantly referred to the 223 thread when asking about killing elk at long range🙄.
You'll quickly learn that the ignore button is amazing.
I think you'd be well served...
Yes
The Banish 30 is pretty decent on small magnums in its 9" configuration but totally sucks at 7".
You really want volume to get any beneficial suppression
Well I don't know that'd I'd call actual testing by barrel and suppressor manufacturers as "spouting off".
If you don't think there's scientific
evidence of the effect that weight at the end of a skinny barrel has on deflection, harmonics, and accuracy then you need to do some studying.
One...

Impact velocity 1975
Center lung
Required another shot to put him down when I got to him 35 minutes later, fortunately the bullet tumbled up into his spine or he would have run off.
Good bullet expansion, mediocre damage to lungs, minimal wound channel, never...
I love my Nomad LT, it's 8.4" long and is one of the quietest 30 cal suppressors available.
If you're absolutely hung up on length the Nomad Ti is a solid choice
With a long pencil barrel the odds of accuracy issues after hanging a suppressor off the end is definitely higher.
I'd rebarrel or sell for sure
Also I wouldn't recommend a 5-6" can, take it from me it'll be loud as hell and you'll end up buying a longer one
Three mk5s or three Leupolds?
I've had several vx5s, and a vx6 fail to track but I'm two for two with the mk5s
They're a separate beast for sure, despite all the hate.
This is absolutely the truth, admittedly I've made that mistake chasing my tail with scope zero issues only to find my problem was with my mount, load inconsistencies, or poor shooting form.
This is why I put very little faith in some of the touted scope "Field testing" that goes on around here..
Talk about a scope that I really wanted to work; I was super excited about everything with the NX8 4-32.
Unfortunately there were too many optical compromises for me to keep it, I wish NF did a 5x zoom instead of cramming an 8x erector into a short scope tube..
Tracking and durability is very...
This is not a fair assessment of why they wanted to check their zero, you're assuming it's because they use an inferior scope that they don't believe will hold zero. I would be shocked if any top level shooter with resources to buy any scope would purposefully chose one they knew wouldn't...
I have a March FX 4.5-28 and it really is an awesome scope, unfortunately it won't mount correctly on my integral base LA that I just bought.. Sadly I'll probably have to sell it
I've been shooting and hunting long range with a 6.5 saum before the PRC was even a twinkle in your eye 😁
They're both great cartridges but I've spent enough time trying to make mine into a 7mm to realize it will never do much more than the 6.5 creed. If you're loading same same the creed will...
I'm not a 7 prc fanboy by any stretch, but I will say it makes a ton more sense than the 6.5 prc.
The creedmoor already covered the 6.5 arena, adding 150-200 fps was super redundant.
With the 7 prc you can jump to a 180 class bullet with the same velocity as a 140 from the 6.5, now we're getting...
