I am sure it will be a great boot, Need to see more about it as the development progresses. I got the gaitors on preorder as they were developing them, and I am really satisfied with ow they fit and function. Hope the boots are the same.
I have the j34 - Its a decent pack, nice for Day-hunting Rifle hunting, but it is not as comfortable as my KUIU Icon 6000 and it has limited pockets for keeping odds and ends organized during an extended backpack hunt. It can really tear up the shoulders with weights over 50#.
On a cow I use a wire tie and secure around/through some of the skin from the evidence of sex. Make sure you mark that game bag so when your checked you dont have to open every bag searching for the tag and evidence!
I've been flirting with the lighter side of the 230# mark for the past few days so I am losing about 1.5# per week - a little less than what I was hoping for. I did increase the pack weight to 60# this week. 10 more pounds to go to reach my goal of 220 by Sept 1st. Going to be rough as the...
I feel for ya! I was sitting in a tree stand before daylight one morning a long time ago - Had a owl try to scalp me! I dont see how they fly through the trees in daytime, let alone nighttime.
X2 on the gopro!
I have a older Block - Shot it out pretty good last year before season - but filled the holes with the expanding foam and its held up decent so far.
Not pretty, but has worked so far.
Snowpeak Giga with the 900ml pot - I made a windscreen out of aluminum flashing material and can pack the windscreen 110gr fuel canister, stove/lighter/spork inside the pot.
Opening weekend last year in Colorado was a lightening free for all. The little peak near me (about 1/2 mile) got hammered twice EACH NIGHT. Was restless sleep to say the least - just hoped that my air pad was similar to an insulator. Changed my camping location for the rest of my trips last...
As much as I can. Last year it was an Elk, 2 mulies, and 2 exotic Sheep. Made the exotics into breakfast and Italian sausage - they were awesome tasting.
Hoping for 2 elk, 3 mulies this year.
I have a pair of the Rino 130's and also a GPSMap60csx. The rino is a great concept, but they eat batteries like there is no tomorrow. They were good for the first couple years when hunting with my son/daughter so I could keep tabs on them and made then feel a bit 'safer'. If they could get...
