nothing scientific but the aquillo feels warmer than my uncomp. puffy. does not seem as durable. its lighter. i much prefer the zipper, hood and pockets of the aquillo to the FL.

youre slightly confused here. thats whats referred to commonly as fast and light pitch. its JUST the footprint fly and poles. no tent body.

some breakfast ideas, i like shotblocks. 200c with or without caffeine. with for me ;) pop tarts. quick, not much actual nutrition, but can be pretty tasty if you havent had them in awhile. not necessarily breakfast, but i dont confine myself to "breakfast" salami, pepperoni, string cheese...
a small tarp rigged above the opening of your tent or over a common area can be nice. it also useful pitched high in the wind with wet clothes underneath so they can dry in the breeze.
sometimes being wet is inevitable, focus on wet and warm. wet isnt an issue til its wet and cold..
i ran the SL5 two seasons. my thoughts mirrored yours. for me since switching to the LBO this winter, it has addressed pretty much every complaint i had with the SL5 while keeping all its strengths.
its also more versatile. roll solo lean-to. early season with the 3pc vestibule for -10oz. works...
if the belt is staying tight, just continually riding down, your torso could be set too long. are you able to shrug the load up or twist your back and shoulders and get the weight off them entirely momentarily?
i know of no way to toughen feet up other than backpacking. i scout alot. and backpack alot of the summer. it helps. but they still are never quite ready for a hunt. i find very few ways to replicate the steep ups, downs, and sidehilling as well as the long days and huge mileage. couple that...
