    I say let her kill it with the 223. You won’t have to worry about finding or making reduced recoil loads and you already have a proven system that doesn’t recoil. Unless there is some other reason for not wanting to use the 223.

    If your using ar mags 73 eldm is a solid choice I took two deer with those this year before switching to tmk and they did fantastic if not using ar mags the 75 all the way to the new 88 eldm should work depending on your velocity wants and desires and mag length specs

    .223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

    I have a ruger american ranch that’s 16 inches and I like it but I don’t at the same time. It’s super easy to move around in tight spaces like a deer stand but incredibly loud since I don’t have a suppressor. You could also get more velocity with a longer barrel. Just some things to think about.

    223 or 243 or 6.5 creedmoor you can shoot tanks or eldms from the 223 eldx or sst or 108 eldm from the 243 or 140 eldm from 6.5. Tikka as the rifle hands down.
