If memory serves me correct...Olympus OMDS mk10, don't recall which lens. I he walk out into a park below me. I was on a little nob, he was maybe 40 yds away. Neighborhood Buck.
For boots on the ground scouting, mid June to July is when I start. Typically have to wait for snow ment...I already went up to my area a few week ago, unfortunately my time is highly limited and I don't think I can get back out till September or October....
I have a late season November hunt...
Thank everyone. This weekend I plan to nail down a few more questions and phrasing of them and try to give them a call next week. Someone did mention getting ahold of the area game warden and I had planned on that as well.
Thanks guys.
Unfortunately...I feel like I'm this person. Lol. Face to face I can hold a conversation just fine, but over the phone, not a great conversationalist lol.
He did have a 4th on his right if I recall correctly. Should really start scoring more bucks! Lol. Comming from black tail country, all mule deer look big lol.
I've never scored my animals, more or less shoot animals im excited about. Took this photo while elk Hunting a few years back.
I was thinking hes a 140 class buck...But what do you all think he scores? I truly don't know lol
Check the classifieds on here, you can find good deals on Kowa's. Swaros as well, but it seams like you'll get better bang for the buck with Kowa. Between the two you can't go wrong.
Access to one of the spots I had e-scouted is one of my questions...just don't know if the biologist would be the right one to ask about that. But I plan on asking anyways

On my knight with a solid coper...
Look to sell this Sightmark reflex sight.
Has both red and green in 4 different reticle options. I had this mounted on an AR platform, never lost zero.
The top of the housing has a few wear marks/scratches (see photo below). Glass is still in excellent shape.
$75 obo
Let me know if you...
Thanks for the responses. I figure if I have more specific questions, then it may cut back on the "general" response that might be more helpful to me anyways.
At what point do you typically consider contacting the area biologist about an area and what questions do you tend to ask them?
Here are my questions so far:
Elevation band for transional range in this region (Elevation band the deer might be in if it's a dry year or a snow year)

When in Washington...I would hunt in state, and try to pull a non res tag in other states as well. Typically Idaho. Live in a rocky mountain state now and trying to get my dad and brother out here to hunt with me lol.
