    Accupoint or s&b

Reliability won't be an issue. My SB Polar has only 1 rotation of elevation but its 9.9 mil I believe. But I don't use it to dial, its my low light setup so I haven't moved it since resetting zero at 100 yards. Hypothetically speaking, which I have never shot that far, on my ballistic sheet...

Is reloading 308 worth is these days?

I do it because I enjoy it and yes it does save me some money. I reload for 3 - 308's and I get to load them the way I want them. 1 of the Rem 700's the boys have was very picky. So all the factory ammo I was buying is nothing more that Range playing around ammo. Thats the one factor that no...

Tikka T3x Superlite 308 win with Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50 - Which Rings?

Not a lite, but a CTR. I used UM rings (med I think due to heavier barrel contour). I have a Trijicon credo 3-15x50 on it. You could probe use lows with a sporter barrel. Or my Lite has a Mountain tactical rail on it to give me options. I went with a 0 moa base with Vortex Precision match...

    Meopta scopes

Mine is a 3-18x56 with #4 illuminated dot. For the $$, it's a very nice optic. Couple things I noticed. The objective knob is tight as well as the paralex knob. Which could be a good thing so it isn't easily bumped or changed. They are slightly heavy, I have mine on my Browning Abolt II...

    Accupoint or s&b

Buddy of mine has an NSX and if you don't dial, save the $$$. Also, if you're not dialing, then glass trumps all, get the Klassik or Accupoint depending on your budget. If you are wanting to dial, then the reliability of the Nightforce is hard to beat.

The elk shoulder that stopped a 308

These 2 guys must shoot at my local range, because I swear the shite that comes out these younger guys mouth at my range while shooting and sighting in their rifles is comical. The local guys here try to make videos while shooting and the dumbasses can't even describe their own gun much less...

    Accupoint or s&b

I have had both, still have the accupoint but sold the Klassik to get a Schmidt bender Polar. All things said, the Klassik is better in low light, clarity but ............ cost more and does weigh more. Really depends on what exactly you want.

    6.5 prc vs 7mm-08 for 18”-20” barrel

My tikka CTR 308 with 20" gets 2860 fps with 155 scenar and Varget. I plan on trying CFE223 because I've read it will get a little more speed in 308.

    Smokeless muzzleloader scope

Meopta MeoSport R 3-15x50 RD SFP reviews?

I picked one up for my CVA 350 legend. Needed an optic that could get me pass legal shooting time here in Louisiana. mine has the #4 reticle with illiminated dot. The illumination is great for low light. I've only used it for a short time so far, but seems like a great optic for the money. I...

    Best Brass?

Depends on what your doing, hunting or target? I picked up 5 boxes of rem corlocks a while back for just playing around with my Tikka 308. Out of the 100, I have 89 left and they are on their 6th firing. Simple R-P Remington brass, i anneal every time and FL size every time. And I load the...

    Tikka Base Recoil Pin

Depends on what you want. I used a browning Abolt II medallion 7mag for about 30 years with just simple dove tail mounts held with 4 screws and not one time did I have an issue. Being it was offered for the tikka, I picked up the rail and set my 308 up for low light with the Polar. Since...

    Tikka Base Recoil Pin

As mentioned UM rings. I also use a mountain tactical rail that has the recoil pin in it for my other Tikka.

    A-bolt: Good platform for build?

Yep, about the same as me. 7 mag ammo was easy to find but for my conditions, it was way overkill so picked up a tikka 308. But that medallion still shoots tiny clusters over 30 years later.

    A-bolt: Good platform for build?

The Abolt and Abolt II were very nice rifles. They dropped the ball with the abolt 3 and tried to resurrect it back with the xbolt. The problem is aftermarket parts or lack there of. People like to tinker with their stuff dont like these rifles due to aftermarket availability. I know back in...

Reticles & Objectives for Low Light

Yes, yes they are in low light. Get the klassik 2.5-10x56 with #4 illuminated dot for your hunting conditions. I had one but upgraded to the Polar T96 (96% light transmission) series by Schmidt Bender. However the Polar is more $$ but is the best low light optic there. I hunt south Louisiana in...

    A-bolt: Good platform for build?

I have a Abolt II Medallion in 7mag with the Boss that I got when back in the early 90's. Blued finish with beautiful wood stock. It is still the queen of my safe. I was going to go that route and get the boss system taken off and have it barrelled. I like the face the bottom metal is flush but...

What scope would you put on this rig?

I have a SB polar, trijicon Accupoint 2.5-10x56, and had a 2.5-10x56 klassik. For low light, the klassik is better but is heavier that the trijicon. But the illumination on the trijicon doesn't need batteries or to be turned off. The Polar is the best but will be above your price point. The...
