    Electrolyte Options

If electrolytes are what you are really after, concentrate on the three main ones.....sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Easy and pure, no fillers, no sugar, no fancy labels. Just electrolytes.

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Just want to add some prospective, and I know this is just my prospective, and only one.... But, as of today I finally know someone with the virus, four guys actually, two in their early 40's and 2 in their early 30's. All four tested positive for antibodies, then later, positive for COVID-19...

    American made Day pack

I dare you to find something built as good as SPEC-OPS BRAND. Super tactical looking but they are actually one of the few packs who have a real affiliation with the military. There are others but not with as many 10+ year reviews as the SPEC-OPS. Made in Texas.

    American made

People usually have a love em' or hate em' opinion of them, but I love my Danner Mountain Light. They have a deep heel cup, great for skinny feet. Inserts will be needed for sure. For just regular hiking or backpacking they are great and last decades. They aren't sheep hunting boots.

Where do you workout and what do you do?

I've got a full olympic set in my garage with dumbells up to 50 lbs, some kettle bells up to 45 lbs, dip and pull up bar. I use this for when I don't want to go to the gym and I've been tossing around the idea of selling it. I'm sure glad I didn't, and I'll never consider that again. I'll...

    Loss of endurance on Keto

I've actually followed Dr. Berry quite closely. I enjoy his opinion. I've also applied quite a few of the theories in his book, and they actually pan out to my favor. One interesting chapter he has in the book is about the sun and removing refined carbs, and limiting carbs in general making...

    Loss of endurance on Keto

There are a lot of conflicting ideas among dietary experts about the benefits, safety and effectiveness of being in, and staying in ketosis. I think anyone who really wants to take on this diet needs to read a few books written by doctors who explain the actual biochemistry of the whole deal...

    Loss of endurance on Keto

My experience and opinion of the keto diet seems to differ from the majority on here. I've always considered myself to be very hardy, healthy and lean. I was a Marine and triathlete for many years but as I neared my 40's I was just starting to feel my age and gain weight that I didn't like. I...

    Carb cycling

I don't routinely cycle, but intermittently cheat, preceded and followed by intermittent fasting. Excess carb intake isn't good but insulin response is what's key. I pretty much stay in the guidelines of the keto diet, but I often do 24 hour fasts, which is having just one meal a day....a big...

    Low carb ?’s

Check out a book called "The Obesity Code". It's good to know the power of hormones, such as insulin and what makes us gain weight to begin with . The book also talks about the whole fat and calorie myths, based on real science vs studies done on rats. I know there are a million books written...

    Transition from keto

I know the season is at an end, but my advise would have been to stay keto. I was a little nervous on my first outing and brought some rescue carbs just in case I was far out and hit a wall. I ended up feeling great the whole time (5 days and about 55 miles) and I'm pretty thin with what I...

    Beginning a healthy diet

I started as an endurance athlete at 18, running triathlon, runs, swims, adventure racing, etc. I continued on with it and trying to be a competitive mountain biker up until I was about 26, then I got married, started having kids, and kinda quit. I continued to keep up some of my training for...

    Good daypack??

I have a Mystery Ranch ASAP, which is very similar to the Front that you mentioned. It is a nice little pack. I've been extremely happy with the durability of everything Mystery Ranch that I've owned.

my take on the dark timber coffee! my wife the barista's take also!

I always used the Via's when hunting and camping too. I even have some stashed away in my travel trailer for when we use that. You're right....it is good for what it is, and quite enjoyable if you just drink it every once in a while. I never dreamed of using a French press until Earlier...

    14'r Question: Aron?

I had this issue as well, trying to stuff larger items in those pockets. I've started just using those pockets for smaller items that I want to know exactly where they are. As for the OP, I thought I got on board pretty early for the 14'r. I don't remember there ever being any mounting tabs...

    Ice bath your meat?

I'm no authority on how to handle/cure meat, and I feel like everyone should do things they way they prefer to do them. In my case though, I prefer game meat. I like white tail and certain water fowl because of it's gaminess. I don't want my deer to taste like beef or my duck to resemble...

If you like tactical, USA made, legitimately battle proven for well over a decade, really overbuilt, with plenty of space check out the SPECOPS THE Pack. 2550ci, full of molle, several color options, and you could use it as a tow strap if needed. There's no other backpack with shoulder strap...

    Bear spray in Colorado?

I don't carry bear spray. That doesn't mean it's right, I just don't. I usually have a pistol or rifle in my hands when I'm pushing through country where the probability is high, but I've been around a lot of black bears and have even found myself between mom and cubs at my house by accident...
