I have tally's on my 300WM. Use thread lock and lap the scope rings and its a bulletproof setup. I did mine 3 years ago and have not had to touch that scope since.
Had the Dragonfly which has the same scabbard. Also have a viper 6.5-25x50 on my rifle. Fits perfectly. But when you throw a bipod on it makes it a nightmare getting it in and out of the scabbard, and almost impossible while on your back. Otherwise i enjoyed my Eberlestock.

Have you given lueko tape a try? Might not stay on well but its worth a shot. When you put a load on your back your bodies center of gravity naturally drifts forward, putting more pressure on the pads of your feet instead of your heal.
I have the Fenix 5. I love it because it will track everything you need HR, GPS, ect. And unless you are constantly using the GPS on it you only have to charge it every couple of weeks.
Sounds like your in better shape than 80% of the people hitting the mountains. Stay hydrated and go at a maintainable pace and you will have no problem!
