    Custom Build with Bergara Action??

Legit question: can you define the more features? I thought one 700 action was pretty much the same feature set as another? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mid/Late Season Camo Outerwear Kit

I’ve had good luck with the sanctuary set. Only time I’ve gotten cold was sitting on the ground for about 7 hours with a very thin pad. I think the cold ground just sucks the heat out of you no matter what. As for water proof layers, I really haven’t needed to worry about rain if it was cold...

    Your gear upgrades/changes/additions for 2024

This. WAY more shooting than past years. Swapping my katadyn hiker (I think?) filter for a hydrapak flux. I'm tired of messing with the pump and I'll save some weight plus add water storage if needed. Probably going to pick up some tethrd sticks to replace the hawke heliums I have been using.

Put Some Thought into your first aid kit

Great reminder to carry first aid all the time. I'm definitely guilty of leaving it behind too often.

FORLOH - Brush To Mountain Pro: The Ultimate All-Terrain Pants

I'm all for buying American. But I'm not going to buy a product solely because it's made in America. Companies still need to bring something else to the table to raise their product above the competitors. I haven't searched every post these guys have ever made, but I regularly see them...

SG Kiowa vs Kuiu Divide 3000

This is a cool idea, I'll have to look into trying out some different belts. Any idea if the duplex belt would fit?

SG Kiowa vs Kuiu Divide 3000

I have a Kiowa and it's great. I've used it for travel and it works well. It gets used for all sorts of hunting. It's carried my hang-on stand and my saddle platform along with climbing sticks. The belt is removable, and it does have 2 small pockets inside as well as 2 interior sleeves for...

Comparing recoil between rifles of different weights

Higher velocity=sharper (snappier) recoil, which I think is what makes the biggest difference as far as perceived "pain" goes. Or maybe a better way to put it is the energy is how far it pushed you and the velocity is how hard it hits you. Either way, I think these numbers are really only...

    RokStok

We’ll see. I ordered mine on 3/7, so if the 90 days holds true, I only have a little over 3 weeks until mine shows up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    How long do strings last

I can tell you my stock Bowtech strings were only good for a year. And honestly they were in really rough shape when had them changed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    RokStok

Looking at Kimber's website, looks like maybe the long and magnum actions have a trigger guard integrated into the action. Maybe need different inletting depending on what action you have? I'm hoping that a m5 bottom would work with mine if they ever make a rokstok for them.

Mine is integral to the stock. So bottom metal? I don’t know if that’s different with the Montana. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Swfa 3-15 milquad or Optika6 as a Nrl22 base class scope

Yeah I think that their price before discount is the msrp. It’s definitely the older version of the scope. The 5-30 is their newer version. I don’t need illumination for nrl22, so that’s not an issue for me. It’s probably not a scope I’d trust on one of my center fire rifles, but it’s held zero...
