    RokStok

Kinda wild that even the bare stocks aren't done shipping out from the first week orders. I figured cerakote was the hold up for most of us.

Has anyone decided to have their stock not cerakoted and had it arrive shortly after? And what was your order date? The fact that they are still shipping first day orders has me wondering how many more weeks/months until they get to the other orders. Cerakote SHOULD be the holdup if they bought...

    Long Range Rifle Questions

OP mentions 500+ yards. You mention shooting nearly 3x that. You are hitting 10" steel at 1500 yards for 10+ shots with a 8lb 300wm? You can win any benchrest competition in the world today with that accuracy. You should start shooting them, win em all get sponsors and retire from your day job.

    The Shoot2hunt Podcast

All rings don't need lapped. That's it. People just really like to think they can do accurate work in the wood shed and really dislike any mark of any kind on their scopes.

Does the 223/6mm for everything change when hunt cost $$$

Remember when many many pages ago I said guns don't move anywhere close to 1/4" with bullet in the bore? And there's probably no gun that's shoulder fired that would achieve that? Then you rambled for multiple pages. let's not do that again.

Yeah. It's kinda like a crackhead explaining to you that his spaceship is in a cardboard box behind the gas station. I know he's wrong, I'm just responding to see his thought process play out. Then I pay for my items and go on my way. I'll be on my way very soon....

I usually shoulder and hold my rifle when shooting it. Do you? Still waiting on that easy equation that factors in rifle weight, time in bore, recoil energy, shoulder pressure, body weight and all the other factors and tells us how far the rifle will move with the bullet in the bore. Everyone...

Have you considered that people just decide to quit engaging with you because it's not worth the effort? Systems don't really "gain" or "lose" center of mass, so it's odd to say that this is "conserved" it hurts my brain to even try to figure out what you think you are talking about. If it's...

Can you read a tape measure? The recoil distance came about cause TP was claiming things absolutely not true.

Just as a visual, here's a lightweight 308's barrel movement before the bullet leaves the bore. Shown by the red line.

I wasn't led to believe anything. Ive watched multiple rifles fired next to a scale with high speed cameras capturing the distance the barrel moves before muzzle exit. You literally have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say. You are just hoping that you sound smart after saying pure...

There's a 6mm and 6.5mm thread also. No one has ever said a 7 mag can't kill something. People just say it about the small calibers.

I love that people are saving that. My one contribution to rokslide lol. And all those gel blocks get x rayed for lead fragmentation. Copper solid bullet makers are lying to you.

Does the 223/6mm for everything change when hunt cost $$$

For most shooters yes. Once the distances get farther and the shooter skill is greater, no. And I mean like going into an area expecting 600+ yard shots and no way to get closer. Most people have no buisness taking shots past a 223/77tmk effective range so it's perfect for them. For a very small...

Does the 223/6mm for everything change when hunt cost $$$

A lightweight 308 is less than 1/16". You would need a extremely high recoiling slow velocity round. Something that probably doesn't exist in shoulder fired hunting rifles to achieve 1/4" of movement with the bullet in the bore. Or absolutely terrible fundamentals. Like free recoiling a light...

Does the 223/6mm for everything change when hunt cost $$$

It's less than 1/4. If it was a 1/4 no one would hit anything. If your gun is moving 1/4" before bullet exit you have significantly messed up a number of things.
