They kill very well. I shoot them in 6cm.The factory hornady black ammo shoots just as good as any of my hand loads. So far I’ve always got exits and they are still destructive.
Below are 2 different mature bucks
Next hog was running straight away at about 200yds. Put the Texas heart shot on her in the ass and sat her down . Then shot her straight in the shoulder. Bullet went straight through and left a good exit.
Impact velocity with the 95gr tmk’s at that distance was around 2560ish fps .

Finally got some kills with the 95gr tmk launched out of an 18” creed.
1st hog was about 100yds away
2780ish impact velocity
Pretty good sized boar angled towards me. Shot him right under the ear. Bullet traveled all the way through to the opposite shoulder. Bullet was lodged on the outside...

I’m sure this was mentioned somewhere in the thread but didn’t come across it.
I currently have an 18” tikka 8twist in 22-250. Getting almost 3k fps with h4350 and 77gr tmk’s…. Is there really any reason to rechamber it to a 22creed?? Would I see much up a velocity gain ? I know components are...
I had 3 vx5hd’s and have slowly weeded them out. Mainly run trijicon credos now and have been veryyyyy happy with them. Check out the credo hx in 2.5-15 and I think you’d be happy you did
I never took any material off… I had it in a stockys vg and was troubleshooting some accuracy issues and tried to put it in a factory stock. Ended up putting it in a veil stock just to troubleshoot accuracy
I’ve got a 6.5prc in route that’ll have a 20” barrel.
This will mainly be a deer / hog gun. I’d like something that expands well but still exits reliably (I know this goes against the Rokslide preach but I hunt some thick areas and a little extra blood helps)
What’s the easy button ? I’ve shot...
