I have a stainless supressor but am looking for a titanium one to save weight. While doing research, everyone mentions that titanium heats up quicker. Some folks even said they see mirage off the can after just 1 shot.
So, how many shots have you fired through your titanium suppressor before...
Alright guys, I did a bit more research and have a theory. Silencerco posted on their website that it's made from grade 5 and grade 9 titanium. From some initial reading, it looks like grade 9 is easier to work with (stamp baffles) and has worse heat performance (shows up "reder" on a thermal...
Yo dudes, I was watching this video and noticed that the can gets hot on the welds that fail first and stays hottest there longest. Kind of makes me wonder if it's a thermal cycling failure.
I've tried skim reading as much as I can here but its 55 pages...... does anyone have any insight on how much first round pop there is?
How about how many shots you get before mirage?
I've never killed a moose and never mosse hunted but I've used some of the bullets you've mentioned on other game. I wouldn't even enter the field for a moose hunt with any of them. Monolithic copper or bonded bullets only for moose IMO.
I think the answer to your question is how much do value a warranty and customer service. Personally, I opted for Seekins as a result. Tikka is pretty useless when it comes to warranty
Hey OP, I reas the first page of responses and then skipped to the end. Just wanted to add a couple of thoughts.
1. Dumping all expended energy into the animal is great until you miss or have a big animal. In my case, I shot a mule deer buck at 75 yards direct broadside with a 6.5 creed eld-x...
Well, I was already talking to silencer co about another can and decided to ask about the failures with this can since I want to buy one for a hunting rifle.
Here is what I asked: "I've seen a handful of people posting pictures of the scythe TI breaking right at the second weld. Do you guys...
As far as weight goes, I got an email from seekins customer service today.
They haven't finished a production run of rifles yet and that's why they don't have official weights posted. The rifles you saw on screen were prototype runs. That being said, CS said they are shooting for a 1/2lb...
Interesting, we're you guys able to hold groups at that yardage? Or was one hit good enough?
Either way, I'm surprised that it's capable of doing that repeatedly. Off hand, do you know what the effective range is on those tanks?
So, I had a wild idea this morning. We measure rifle accuracy in MOA. That makes me wonder how accurate a tank cannon is in MOA. Anyone have experiences with tanks?
Thanks man, it was just a doe so nothing crazy to show off. But, I was super happy nonetheless. It was a rough year with my first muzzle loader this year on deer and elk. Kept finding them but couldnt get close enough or had gun issues. But, the pronghorn tag took me 6 years to draw so I really...
Thanks guys for the responses. I totally get what yall are saying. Maybe this is a better way of asking a similar question. How can I confirm I'm not ranging the wrong thing?
When on the flat ground with a bunch of shrubs, there isn't a bunch of clear objects to confirm...... for example, tall...
