You can't simply just buy the Williams Western Precision set and slap them on? At this point I've ruled out the Wolf and planning to try to stretch to the Accura if my NF scope would ever sell so I can pay for it. The cheapest model I could find is $485 and comes with iron sights and I'd put a...
I think for the time being I'm going to go with pellets for simplicity and quick setup and consistency (by me) since I'm new. In the future if I were to draw anything out West I can circle back and make things legal for the local. Powders and sights are easy as long as the rifle itself is...
OP, I have two of these in different sizes. One thing I will point out that I found to be a HUGE bonus on an Elk hunt this last trip is the fact that it has two zippers. I remove my suppressor for travel and fits nice and short in the short version (20" barrel) but don't want to remove it and...
The loose powder thing was to stay legal in other states, seem to recall reading one of them didn't allow pellets. That's not a necessity for this though, was just trying to make this more than a 1-time use item. I can always switch that up later though, spread out the funds over time and do...
Thanks, that's the most likely route. Rifle is roughly $240 after shipping plus another $70 for the breech plug which I'll shop around more. I was reading somewhere the Accura may come with two breech plugs and that's $480 so puts it at $410 if it does in fact come with the BH 209 breech plug...
Edit: I bought an Accura with iron sights pictured below.

We drew a weird hunt in Texas in January that requires a ML. Before I haul off and buy a CVA Wolf V2 stainless I figured I should check and be sure there's no pitfalls. I'd like the Accura MR-X but money is tight and this...
Following on this. Just starting my reloading journey with the exact same goals in mind. Tikka 20" superlight and getting 2535 fps with the factory 147's. Shoots great and love it but a bit more speed to help me with wind would be nice.
Keep in mind some LiFeP04 batteries won't charge, solar or otherwise, if it's too cold. Not sure exactly where the cutoff is but think it's around freezing. More expensive ones can self-heat but that requires power to heat themselves. I just grabbed my AGM battery out of my camper for this last...
When in constant-on mode you'll have a dial between 1.4 and 5 indicating the estimated kw power I guess. We ran on 1.4 for 7 nights and at one point 3 nights/2 days straight nonstop and used about 4 gallons total for the 7 night trip so a little more than 2 liters fuel per day average. Wife did...
Fuel level would be really nice for sure. Looks like a nice rig, gonna be real toasty in there.
Looking at that controller you might be in thermostat mode, it's the left (not power) button. In thermostat mode the glow plug has to come on each time it kicks on and the heater goes on and off...
