I've chimed in a handful of times over the years and probably this thread.
Think I am in my 8th year of HRT. I've done hormonal self "boosting", done injectable. And have now advanced to cream. Some of my findings:
I am VERY sensitive to testosterone. Per my MD I am on one of the LOWEST...
Yep....I am local. I've shot against you a handful of times. We shoot at some of the same ranges. So most of the math and nerd stuff to get hits at distance...I have sorted out.
The positions and quick shooting methods, "wind brackets" and schit like that....not so much.
Wasn't able to...
Have one. Had it for couple decades now. Remington SA Lefty. Pac Nor barrels were the rage then. As was a 3 groove...which it has. Fatter contour steel barrel, think a #5. Cut to 20"
Would I do it again?? Probably not.
Rifle is very accurate. It's been a lot of places with me...Idaho...
And? What was your take away?
I've competed in smaller/local long range steel matches. Shot in the top 3rd every time. Beat a few national named people.
But I for sure don't know everything. I am savvy with my Ap, environmental factors, ballistics, etc. I have access to a phenomenal range...
Love the 14'r. Have two of them. Not big enough. I have close to cutting edge gear. And I dont think I could pull off a 3 day in a 14'r even with pockets strapped to it everywhere. One of my favorite packs tho.
The Seek 4800 series has much of my attention. Just don't seem to be too...
I seem to be stuck on the Kifaru Kutthroat. Suggestions on an internal frame 3 day scouting pack? Been a long time Kifaru guy. Really never strayed for 15 years. The Seek packs seem very appealing. More spendy than a Kutthroat.
Have plenty of pockets, etc to swap out if I stay w Kifaru...
@KurtR Went back and re-read the majority of the thread....lol
I am a Die Hard Chessie guy. But at 53 I am done with them Will always love them and admire them.
That Chuck dude has died on that hill! I know nothing of trials and Grands, etc. My last Chessie was from Harger in Idaho...
@KurtR I watched your posts and comments for years. I've no doubt you put 1000s of birds on the dirt. And I will reframe my semi sarcastic comment. MASTER of None? Technically yes.
But these dogs are the Jerry Miculek of Dogs. They're gonna be WAAAAAY up there in the Top 5 across every...
Hunerd percent!
My YT feed is a ton of Forrester and Ghostpoint? Makes a great video. Like you mentioned....I don't see any Draht in those Wires.
I don't NEED it either. I just kinda have to accept it for the other attributes that come with it. Plus I've grown to know several solid people...
Agree....and the Drahthaar, Munsters, Pudels, Griffs....a true DK. Wires...
I was a long time Chesapeake guy. My Chessies were duck dogs who would get birdy around pheasants.
They were Pets who brought birds back. I wouldn't say they were Versatile
Asking what do YOU consider Versatile?
To me it should be Upland, Waterfowl, Fur and Blood. All of it. Track bears, trail blood poorly hit deer/elk, point Upland, retrieve to hand, sit over decoys in a blind, and be sharp on fur.
Oh Schitt........I am trying to bring this pup along with free range chickens and two cats!
My last DD was Draht Lite. Snuggle Bug. Male too. So chill and mild mannered. Killed one chicken (he was an adult...GF, now Wife "I'll take Buck for the weekend") and she recently obtained chickens...
