That load should shoot well. 130 ttsk has always shot well for me. I use it in my Tikka but you rifle may not like it
In general I pick a bullet and load it with a mid level load of appropriate powder. It either will or will not shoot, you will know quickly. In my experience, no tweaking...
This ∆
I have 2 Sparrows because I swap between so many hosts; the is no change in zero. IMHO, there is no great difference on rifles for any quality can. If you going exclusively pistols, the monocores will have more FRP.
I'm Sure the primers will go bang. I don't care the Alphas response. They should have sent you new brass. No way should primer pockets need lubed.
Good luck.
Lubing primers...um no. I remember people freaking out about touching primers and worried their finger oils would cause detonation issues.
Thanks for your post. I'll be sure to never order Alpha brass. Geeze.
Cci usually seat easiest in tight pockets; Fed is the worst in my experience.
Maybe try running a primer pocket uniforming tool in a couple and/or lightly chamfering them.
All things being equal (same can etc) will there be a significant difference in sound between a subsonic 308Win or 300 BO? I have experienced some powders that are louder in some loads; specifically AA5744. It's dirty, leaves unburnt kernels, and has a noticeable 'pop'.
I want to add a CVA...
I still prefer the old hand held Lee auto prime for feeling a primer bottom out.
Glad I didn't think these niche tools were required for good loads when I got started downloading...I probably wouldn't have started.
I guess I don't understand the BC calculations because copper bullets are all very long for weight compared to lead. The 6.5 127 LRX looks like a javelin but doesn't have an exceptional BC compared to some other bullets.
I like Burris, but the lack of mounting space on that scope is a non-starter.
I wish someone still made an affordable compact 4x. So useful for many uses and not having a telescope mounted to a trim rifle.
I can't believe I'm recommending Vortex, but I am. I zero on the center at 20 yes the adjust the magnification until the next hash mark hits at 30 yds.
In general, multipurpose items generally aren't great at anything. If you want light, get the TI. If you want better suppression and durability, get the Omega or YHM R2.
I understand a lefty wanting a lefty bolt, but why desire the case to eject into your face?
Just make life simple, and inexpensive, and buy a lefty action.
