    I was in a bar in Reserve NM talking to a local. He said they shoot wolves in the guts, and they run off deep in the woods to never be found again........ to die a slow death out of sight....

    There you go again. 1st time applicant draws a 16a tag. I have heard about that soooo many times, including myself. You'll never draw another 16a tag ever again, so hire a guide. Game & Fish suck you in to get the licensing fee every year. I heard good and bad things about Gila DNA...

    That's actually scary. It's amazing something can tolerate that environment. I will try to test my next harvest. But I usually hunt out west, and I'm on the east coast.

    I have meat in my freezer for 5-6 years. double wrapped. Not freezer burnt at all. You think any prion is surviving ???

    Fish & Game should certainly send out information on how to test meat. Where to send, and how to collect proper samples. Even after butchering..

    ok, I'd send out every animal for testing before eating it. How do I do that ? Let's talk about preventative action, rather than disputing neuro articles. That serves no purpose.

    Let's say it's true. How do you kill the disease ? Cooking to a certain temperature ? I eat the stuff 5 days a week.

    I've spoken to David Silva a few times. Seemed like a straight up guy, but crazy expensive. Not that drawing 16a is happening again. Was he hard to deal with ? I saw plenty of wolves in 16a. Very few Elk..

    100% incorrect. Haven't had a NM Elk tag in about 5 years. I would NOT go back to 16A. Overrated and Wolves can be seen driving down the main road through 16A. There's a main road that runs along a golf course, and wolves are on the wood line just scouting for their next kill.
