    What do you think of the zenith 1.5-6? Is the reticle bold enough without the red dot and how bright is the dot? Debating that scope for for my whitetail rig as well!

    Savage 220

    My 220 shoots 1-2" groups at 100 yards with Remington Accutip 3". The bolt can be finicky, cycle with authority and you shouldn't have any issues. Mine did fail to eject a spent shell on a gut shot buck a few years back and what should have been a 5 second ordeal putting another round into him...

    I'm 6'2" 200lbs and have worn both, it really depends how much you want to layer under it. With minimal layers (base layer and a long sleeve or thin hoody) the Large will be good, if you want to wear bulkier stuff and prefer a baggier fit then go XL.

    I picked up an accupoint 1-4 with red triangle post before this season and like it but wish I went with the 1-6 and green duplex like you have. May make the switch in the off season!

    Just a heads up the G2 50cal woodman are not smokeless rated, I believe the g2 .45 are with upgraded breech plug. I know the G3 45cal are rated for smokeless, not sure on the g3 50. I shoot BH209 in my G3 45 and its great

    Bird Dog Chest Protector

    I use the cabelas vest for my toller, but it will prob last one season if you're getting into really bad stuff. Cheap enough that's not really an issue. I get 2-3 seasons out of one.

    I use tetra for waterfowl and upland, it's not the same as not wearing anything but it seems to be a good compromise.
