    I was a bit conflicted about hound hunting until I thought of this: it’s not all that different from falconry (train an animal to find the prey for you). And I’ve always thought falconry was sooo cool. So sure, I may not use hounds myself, but I’ll support your right to use them.

    zeiss conquest 8x32 hd binos. Favorite purchase of the year. Slik 632 tripod with aziak backcountry lite ball head. Not only did they hold the binos rock steady, but not holding the binos meant my hands stayed warmer and more comfortable. Wiser BA-7 sparrow adaptor to tie everything together.

    Yeah, I’m in NM. Tags are easier as a resident, but never guaranteed. On our way out of camp we passed some guys road hunting, and I cruised on by without telling them we had just tagged out. Ya gotta be in place before first light, and be willing to hike away from the roads.
