Well I installed my Midas and got it adjusted to about 2lbs 5oz or so. The first stage pull weight responded to adjustments (like 1/8 turn produced more change) than the second stage pull weight screw. Either way I managed to get it adjusted where I want it, at least until I take it to the range...
Saw this and had to post it. There's a decent argument to be made that using grey wolf DNA as a starting point isn't even how best to achieve a dire wolf phenotype anyway. Grey wolves are the closest phylogenetic ancestor to dire wolves but a direwolf phenotype may have more closely resembled...
It's a company that genetically altered existing gray wolf DNA to make them look like what people THINK direwolves looked like. As a side note, direwolves probably didn't look like that.
I've been putting one together in the last couple of months. Once the chassis arrives this week it should be about done. It's a Tikka T3X semi-custom. I'll find out soon whether it was a good idea but I'm about as confident as I've ever been about a build.

Just received my 6CM Tikka barreled action from PVA. I went with 18" (1:7 twist) for this one since it's my first. Won't be able to shoot it until a few weeks from now unfortunately though.
I'd quite like some recommendations on firing pin lubricant for coastal climates but won't freeze in cold conditions. Being in coastal NC, running it dry probably isn't an option for me.
