    If you can’t afford to do both then I’d prioritize the 401k and save more money or make more money where you have so much excess cash flow it Makes sense to diversify and balance your asset classes. I own multiple homes….I made sure when I bought it I wasn’t house poor.

    From what I can tell the only pathetic thing on this thread is your response. 40 is way too young. it’s prime earning years and value creation. I’m in the 55 camp. Still early but much lower risk in multiple ways including financially.

    AGC. Always have my glass on me when hunting. In your application I use glass to look ahead through the branches and under. I spot game well in advance of when they see me this way. Also carry my air checker and range finder in same AGC carrier.

    Most bolts already have a coating Of some sort. Best leave that as is so the action cycles smoothly with less friction.

    Shot placement

    It’s a bad shot with a bow imo. I won’t sugar coat it. You need to have high confidence of a clean kill when you execute a shot. This one doesn’t pass muster. Even for a skilled archer.

    It’s useful to reflect on tracks and waypoints. i use it in conjunction with FLAT LINE maps. on game day I use it as a GPS on my iPhone. Eliminated my need to carry a GPS Device. For $25 a year or whatever it is now it’s worth it.

    .50 cal muzzleloader bullet to bore vs sabot

    Hornady 250 gr SSTs worked for me out to 300 on my TC Omega. Lots of kills on my smoke pole. They make better nowadays but she has sentimental value.
