    Yes Barnes. I was very impressed, for a factory load. , I wasn’t shooting slow on the second set of 10 and honestly wasn’t waiting for a perfect picture through the scope, just to say the 20 rounds group could have been smaller.

    Saw Defiance has a new CRF action, but… used the Remington 700 trigger. Curiosity ended w that and the price. Figured function would still follow a basic Rem 700 in test like this. MRC function and price point seems 👌 in comparison.

    I like the description of the tung oil finish appearance and I happen to have a ton of bees wax from my bees. Wonder what a soak/finish in tung oil and a layer of bees wax would work out to.

    Shooting my .223 today w TO84s/ SWFA 3-9/Rokstock I realized I’d likely prefer the mediums. Spend the $ and order them. Worst case you have to resell them on here and lose a couple bucks.

    Another option for 77gr ammo, @h2so4 provided some Bone Frog .223 ammo loaded w 77gr hpbt for testing. My Tikka liked it… 18” barrel. Avg 2615fps. Max spread around 50fps over 20 rounds. Shot 10 fairly quick, checked group Shot another 10 faster, checked group 0.2 mil Right adjustment Plugged...

    You should hear the “elk camp” stories I hear from locals. I’m honestly scared to be any where near the valley they hunt in 3rd season.. Ethical shooting or general rules of gun safety are for snow flakes.

    Suppresor if you can, AB Warthog is great for a cheap option, better yet borrow one of the new UM cans and report back.
