What is going on with these companies discontinuing 3/4 length light zip off long johns?? 😳

*Kuiu 145 - sold out
*Kuiu 97 - disco'd
*First Lite - doesn't make the wick (150) in zip off
*GoHunt Basin - sold out and not 3/4 anyway. 160 weight I believe.

Seeking any and all suggestions around 150 gsm 3/4 length zip off bottoms. If they don't check all those boxes, I already have them.

These came to mind... but honestly I wouldn't get them. I had the fleece version of this and it was extremely uncomfortable and the seam rubbed bad. Best part of it was they refuse to lost any negative reviews.

Outdoor Vitals has a 200 GSM option that should be a good all-rounder. I've only worn them on one archery elk hunt so far.

If you can wait for the 145 Kuiu to be back in stock? I'm on my second pair and am happy with them.
Well yes. And no. They're saying September but I have a pretty active archery hunt in Alaska the last 2 weeks of August. I'll be fine with what I have but never dreamed this would be a hard product to aquire lol

Dang. That is a much longer wait time than I would have expected!

@Gooden123 There's 3 options with varying availability at Blackovis.

Thanks I'll check them out! The worst part is I ordered the 145 zip over winter by mistake not knowing they were 3/4 length. Then I got the Crispi Hunter boots and it made a lot more sense.

Peloton 97 was the very best I’ve found. Wish I had bought a spare before they went away.
After using the peloton I’ve deemed all merino versions pointless, heavy, underperformers.
I either have the 97s on or just pants of various weights from August through No ember in western Montana

Have you looked at SG Helio? I had the original and didn’t like them but the new version with grid fleece looks much better

Yeah just from a little research on here I could immediately see the Peleton 97 was the cats meow and something truly unique to Kuiu and special. It's mind blowing they would disco something that great.

I have peleton 200 and 240 jackets. They're probably my favorite pieces but all my bases are still merino. FL, Kuiu, Smartwool...

I was gonna say the Kuiu 145'a but see they're sold out. I bought a set last summer and love them. I did look at the King's Camo version. Seems nice but a touch heavier weight.

Yeah unfortunately King's are 260 I think. This seems like such a weird thing for nobody to have 2 months before most big game seasons are in full swing

Crazy to me that KUIU d/c'd the 97's...
Yeah it's really disappointing. I like the peleton 200 and 240 jackets I have. There's so much positivity on here about the 97s that it would be a no brainer for me.

What's even wilder to me is they don't have anything remotely close in stock 2 months before nationwide archery season busts open.

Yeah, that is a crazy point as well, but I think anymore it's hard for companies to keep stuff in stock.

Have you searched the used market for them much? Idk that there is a better all around zip off bottom than the 97's... I'd pick up a used pair before something new from elsewhere

Sitka makes the merino 330 in 3/4 length. They are warm though so better suited for later season.

@K_pem used is my next move but I'm a medium so I'm not optimistic. Going to try the Kuiu buy/sell Facebook group.

@samsoholt yeah that's too warm. I need something for active hunting in mild to cold conditions. Thanks though!

Those 330s are nice but yeah definitely a bit heavier and warmer.

I wouldn't hesitate to jump up to a L if you had to, I am a medium waist for sure but went with a Large for the leg room and they arent that far off in sizing w/ the velcro adjustments

Good point! Kuiu is all over the map with pants sizing anyway. I might be a large. I'm a stick but I'm 6'1.
