ZeroTech TRACE ADV 3-18×44 FFP Shoot2Hunt

Well, I will say that I didn’t get the trigger time that some other folks got with them at S2H, but I did get to see and handle them. The low light performance was clearly superior to a SWFA 6x. But, moving forward, I am gravitating more towards “one main rifle.” So, I don’t foresee an immediate justification for having one of these on each of my rifles.

Yea thats fair, honestly between my 223 and my 6 creed I have little need to shoot much else.

Shot about an entire day at the university with one of these bad boys. Compared to the Mavens it's a huge jump in glass clarity.
The reticle is pretty epic too!
I have a few Mavens, so I'm looking forward to waiting 6+ months for the ZT. Refresh, refresh, refresh.

Must have been a pretty good jolt.
Where did it break? What stock and rifle?

It broke at the handgrip. It was a prototype wooden Rokstok with no reinforcing dowel. I am confident Mike will fix it with a reinforcing dowel and some proper glue. I don’t know whether a production wooden Rokstok would have broken.

The rifle was one of the S2H Tikkas. So, properly torqued and etc.

To my eyes, SWFA glass is crap, even the HD. I tried to like it, and just couldn't get past it.
We hunt in the dark here (coastal plain, SE USA).

The 3-9x is pretty good. The 6x and the 10x get fuzzy fast.

One time I walked over to my neighbors at twilight. He has a long fence with huge posts with flat tops. He also has a deer herd about 47 strong that feeds together. I went back and forth between the 6x and a 3-9x set on the flat tops of the posts and went home and moved some stuff around.

I can’t answer for your eyes, but I have to wonder what you are trying to use it for such that it won’t work as a sighting device during hunting hours.
