I won’t pretend to be an expert on websites or google algorithms so please correct me if I’m wrong.. but I believe that page clicks and time on site helps. In other words making you click through and spend more time on site helps them with search rankings. It also helps to steer you into different products you didn’t know you wanted/needed yet. I do agree however life would be easier if we all just put our golden products or information on the first page. Multiple things at play here.. Psychology and analytics

Fixing UM’s website is a whole different conversation. I hope it works better on the back end than the user end.

I guess our scope name contest truly was for naught. Any of those would have been better as they were distinct. Could have just added it to the lineup name.

The ZeroTech Trace Advantage Scopey McScopeface might sound silly, but you know it’s not the same as the others!! Talk about driving clicks to the description on the webpage.

In all seriousness though, if ZT is going to make changes to the internals of the rest of the line to match durability some nomenclature change has to happen.

If we are being honest, the marketing/ branding at ZT is pretty rough. It all starts with a name that could imply "zero technology." It's a terrible name imo. I am sure ZT made sure that they had naming rights of the scope collab. They might need this scope to succeed more than S2H does. It *could be the start of a big company turnaround on reputation in the USA. Relatively unknown in the USA and what Rokslide did know of them, was not promising.

I read most of the thread and it really slammed my self esteem. I try my best to stay in shape, I have a career, I'm kind and funny, and I am willing to try new things. That thread really has me down and it's been on my mind.

I've never understood this criticism. "Zero" has a different meaning in the riflescope space.

If it was a phone or a TV, you'd have a point. But it isn't. It's a scope that uses tech to hold zero. I think you have to intentionally misinterpret the name to be critical of it.

Then the only logical choice would have been to create a new line of scopes, that function correctly, starting with the s2h scope. Shortly thereafter discontinuing the scope lines that don’t hold zero. The way they went about it only creates confusion, and assumptions, as previously stated.

Businesses do what they have to do. As long as we're getting more options for drop proof scopes, I'm not going to complain about the process.

Did Maven not state proudly that their scope passed the drop test? Or are you referring to the possibility that all their other ones didn’t ?

Maven sort of disregards the drop test and says theie scopes are all built to the same quality standard. Which means they're not acknowledging anything at all and they likely won't make any public statement if they decide to start changing the internals on their current models.

I haven’t read the whole thread so hopefully this hasn’t been mentioned…I am a little disappointed with the revealing of the reticles, especially the Rokslide one. A simple rearranging of the letters and it could have been the MHG reticle.
