Zero drop rubber boots

Oddly enough I emailed Lite boots last week asking that they consider making a zero drop model. They were receptive to the idea.

They aren't true rubber boots but I've stopped wearing rubber after trying them. Their boots are non-reinforced on the shank so they already have a "feel" for the ground. They are wide across the toe box already. They do have a formed arch but it's low. I've noticed that I slip less wearing these boot on muddy mountainsides with wet leaves/rocks than I do with Crispi's/etc.

Send them an email requesting a zero drop:

I found this option but I'm still researching them.

I would avoid Saguaro personally. We ordered some winter boots for my wife last fall and paid for the extra “return shipping guarantee” for free returns in case they didn’t fit. Of course they didn’t fit, and then the return process was the most convoluted I’ve ever seen. They don’t give you a shipping label, you have ship the items on your own dime and upload the tracking # and receipt on their returns page, after they receive the package they reimburse you. Kind of a pain, but whatever. We exchanged for the next size up.

When we got the replacement pair, there was a big hard glob, maybe some glue?? inside the lining, all across the toes on one boot. Turns out you’re allowed one exchange/refund per order. I told them the boots were defective and unwearable, and was given the same response. One refund/return per order. I threatened to contact my bank, gave them two days and said if I didn’t hear back by the next day I was filing a chargeback. Sent my bank the email chain and a pic of the boot and got my money back.

Twelve days later, I received an email from Saguaro that if I canceled the chargeback, shipped the boots back on my own dime, and they were actually defective we would get a replacement pair, but a refund was not an option. Told em I wasn’t interested and they never contested the chargeback.

Just know that defective boots aside, if you order a pair, have to exchange them, and the replacements still don’t fit, you’ll be SOL.
