zenbivy or argali 20 bag

Maybe “better” wasn’t the right word. I used the Katabatic flex quilt with mine. It was a little lighter and the sizing that I wanted. I probably should have used the term “better for me”.

Thank you. Just wondering as I’ve heard/read that a few times from people, with the meaning that the Zen Bivy isn’t as good of quality, and I’m not seeing it.

Anyone ever used the ZenBivy with a cot?
I used it on a cot for 2 weeks in an AK moose hunt this year and it was fantastic. I've been long time quilt user as I really hate how restricting a bag feels. I don't have too many issues with drafts and a quilt but I still prefer the ZenBivy over a standard quilt. In addition to keeping the pad in place it keeps my Nemo Fillow in place. My ZenBivy setup is the 25° system for both the sheet and quilt and I felt like I could be comfortable down to 30° in it.

On a side note, that moose hunt was really wet and the most effective way to dry damp clothing was to sleep in it or with it in the ZenBivy and let my body heat move the moisture out. Even after doing that daily for two weeks I never felt like I had a loss in down loft from the moisture. It moved the moisture out well and kept me warm. I came away even more impressed with the system after that hunt.

My only negative was user error. Mine has the clip attachments and one night I somehow got one of the clip hooks attached to my fishnet stockings and ripped them a bit. I took some flak in camp for wearing those things but they worked incredibly well under waders. They just have an extra large hole on one leg now.

Zenbivy 10 degree light bag with the matching full length sheet is the ticket. Slept in low 20s for 4 days last month in one. I had to get out to remove clothes and socks.

Im 6'2" and can roll over, bend my knees anyway I want and actually sleep in one. Unless something beats it eventually, I wont own anything else.

Have used it on a cot multiple times as well with my pad. Works just as good.

yep, i signed up for that too, and based on the comments on this thread, i will be going the way of the zenbivy, thanks all for the input, other then the fishnet legging situation i will stay out of that camp!
