Lucked out with a great deal on some used Victory FL T* 10x42s from 2009. Looking for any info on how they compare to glass from the big 3 today. Mainly using for archery mule deer and elk, looking to see if I'm going to hold onto them or consider switching them out with something more in line with what I would need. Any thoughts are helpful!

I have Zeiss victory HT’s 10x42 from roughly 10 years ago and comparing them to most of the new big 3 optics I don’t feel like I’m missing a lot. I feel the biggest thing that has been improved with newer binos is the field of view getting better, but I’m willing to live with for the difference in money of getting new ones.

I can't really give you advice as to how they compare to the Swaros I currently own, but I've owned a few sets of the Victory FL T* 10x42 binos, and they are some of the best glass I've ever put to my eyes.

I was looking for a set of them when I purchased my Swarovskis. If you decide to part with them, let me know.

They get here Monday so, I'll let you know after I get some time with them. Main fear is if I could use 12s better than the 10s

I would echo this.

According to ZEISS a few years ago as I was looking at more optics the versions then where mainly a change in coatings. The FLs were already bright and very high fov so it’s plausible those coatings did give better edges clarity.

You’ll be very pleased to get an amazing bino for a great price.

You're probably a younger man that I am, but if you are intending to handhold 12's - good luck! I have 10's and 12's in the Swarovski EL line and it is imperative that I put my 12's on a tripod to realize their potential.

Edit: I have a good friend who is a guide and he loves the Zeiss Victory glass.

Looking to throw them on a tripod! I have a great pari of Zulu 6s that I use around the neck but I do a lot of mule deer hunting and looking at nicer glass for the all day sits!

Leaning towards selling these guys when they get here. Just more interested in a 12 or 15 on a tripod. The SLC 15s look like the route I may go
