Zeiss Terra ed 10 x 42 vs viper HD 10 x 42

I was personally totally unimpressed with the Terra's I looked through. I have always liked the Vipers my buddy uses and they have been through the ringer on several hunts and still work well.

for the price I believe the viper he is really nice glass I don't think the terra is quite as good

Thanks guys. I found a guy selling terras with a kuiu bino case for 250 and was seeing if I should pull the trigger.

Call me nuts but in glass in the under 500 price range that these two are in I see very little substantial differences between most of them

I wouldn't pay 250 more for the vipers over the terra, not that much upside.


That's a decent deal at 250 with the harness and if it fits your budget go for it.

I am a huge zeiss fan, but I can not endorse the Terra line. I think it is short for terrible... Value wise, Vortex gives a decent bino for a buck. They offer a great warranty, (you will use it at some time or another) and they glass is pretty nice for the amount of money you spend. Stay away from the Terra line.

you can find the hd vipers for around 450 that's a value for the quality I believe

I've been keeping my eyes open for a used set of 12x50 or 15x50 viper HDS for a good price but they go fast when they come around. I just need to go find a pair and take a look through both and see.
