Who has played with one of these? Considering one for my Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5 CM. Appears the more affordable one has a duplex reticle, so it would need to dial well.

To my knowledge the 3-12 only has capped elevation unlike the larger models. I’m sure it’s the same erector system as the rest of the V4s which have a pretty good record of tracking. You would just have to remove the elevation cap to dial.

Yes, capped. That’s fine, as long at works when I need it. Interesting tidbit, the 4-16 is .5” shorter than the 3-12, and basically the same weight.

So, according to the PDF brochure, the 3-12 is a little lighter (17.9 vs. 21.3) and a tad bit shorter (13.8 vs. 14). That makes more sense than what the web page lists.

Best in class, imo. If you want to reliably dial this is a great entry point.

Thinking about buying one of these scopes.
Any updates? Holding up well?

PS: Decided not to wait for a response as Amazon has one on sale for $599 so I snagged it.

I will revise my previous post from years ago. I moved on. I never had tracking issues, but I think there are better, more reliable choices out there.

What’s a better choice for around the $600 price point?
I still need one more scope
